The Freedom of Information Act 1982 requires the High Speed Rail Authority (Authority) to publish certain information on our website. This includes this Information Publications Scheme (IPS) plan, and disclosing access decisions through a disclosure log on our website.

The disclosure log provides access to information which has been released in response to a Freedom of Information (FOI) access request. The Information that will be described in the Authority disclosure log will be information released by the Authority under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 and is available for public access.

The Authority provides the following information in accordance with the Information Publication Scheme (IPS) established under the Freedom of Information Act 1982.

There is no fee for making a request but the Freedom of Information Act 1982 provides that charges may be imposed for processing requests.

A charge may be imposed to reimburse the Authority for the cost incurred in copying or reproducing the information or sending it to you. We will try to meet all reasonable requests for an alternative format of the document in a timely manner and at the lowest reasonable cost to you.

In accordance with sections 8(2)(g) and 11C of the Freedom of Information Act 1982, information released under the Act is listed below.

The Authority will make documents accessible on this website as much as possible. However, some documents, due to size or format, will be made available via post. If you would like to access documents listed but not published on this site, or in an alternate format please contact the FOI Coordinator.

The Authority’s list does not include the following:

• documents released under the FOI Act containing personal or business information which would be unreasonable to publish;

• documents to which access has been refused or which are exempt from release under the FOI Act; and

• documents which have been released to the media or members of the public outside the FOI Act.

• Information attached, or referred to, in the Authority’s FOI disclosure log may be removed after 12 months, unless the information has enduring public value.
