The High Speed Rail Authority (HSRA) is committed to accessibility for all. If you have any difficulty using the website please email us at info@hsra.gov.au.
We aim for best practice with accessibility and to comply with the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1). The Guidelines provide necessary information to help website owners ensure their website is accessible for all users. We aim to review the HSRA website periodically to ensure ongoing compliance and commitment to website accessibility.
Our website includes an accessibility widget feature which allows users to adapt how they use the website. The user can change settings by selecting a range of tools and functions that apply automatic changes throughout the website.
The accessibility features enhance the website to be used for screen readers and for keyboard navigation. It allows a range of profiles to be selected which are best suited for particular needs of different users such as an Epilepsy Safe Profile, Vision Impaired Profile or ADHD Friendly Profile. It also allows for font and colour changes, stopping of automatic animations, audio muting and more.
If you use assistive technology in most cases the feature will automatically prompt you to make your selections or adapt to the technology type used.
If the settings are not automatically available, you can find the accessibility widget feature on the bottom left hand side of the screen. It looks like the image below with a human stick figure in white inside a navy circle.
If you have recommendations on how we could improve accessibility of our website or would like support to use or access parts of our website, please contact us via email at info@hsra.gov.au.
We do our best to ensure all Adobe PDF documents on our website are accessible.
Despite our best efforts there may be some PDF documents which are not user friendly.
If you find a PDF document which is not accessible or require a different format type, please email us at info@hsra.gov.au.
